Sushi World presents our annual Valentine's Day special which will be available from Thursday, February 13th through Sunday, February 16th, 2020. It consists of 5 courses and will cost $85 for two people.

1) Choice of Jalapeno Yellowtail, Albacore Carpaccio, or Salmon Carpaccio,
2) 6 pieces of Chef's Choice Sushi & 6 pieces of Chef's Choice Sashimi,
3) Choice of Bentley, Cypress, or Rainbow Roll,
4) Miso Marinated Black Cod & Filet Mignon w/ Mashed Potatoes, and
5) Choice of Vanilla or Green Tea Creme Brulee

You don't have to go all the way to New York to get our Manhattan Roll. Heck, you don't even have to go to Manhattan Beach. We have it right here in Cypress, Orange County! It consists of spicy yellowtail with cucumbers and radish, and then it's topped with masago and a mustard soy dressing. Easily one of the favorite rolls at our sushi bar. Come on by and try it out today! We also have quite an assortment of other awesome, finely crafted sushi rolls that our sushi chefs will gladly put together for you today.

One of our favorite appetizers is our baked mussels. It's so simple and oh so yummy. We take some mussels, top it with our special Japanese aioli, bake them, and then top them with some masago and green onions. They're always a great way to start a sushi session at Sushi World. Tell your neighbors! (But don't tell them about how you steal their Victoria Secret catalogs.)

You could say that our sashimi sampler is the ultimate sampler of any kind because you will get only the best cuts of fish! Tuna, Red Snapper, Yellowtail, Albacore, and Salmon. You just can't go wrong when you order this. It is a very shareable dish but you can also eat it on your own. And, there's no rice so it's definitely a no carb situation. The other nice thing about it is that our sashimi is cut to be a perfect bite every time. That's the way sashimi is meant to be enjoyed. Eat enough to please the senses.

What a beautiful winter we're having here in Orange County! Chilly at night but nice and sunny during the day. Typical fall in Southern California. If you tried a lot of our traditional sushi rolls, you might want to try our Anaheim Chili Tempura Roll. It's got a center made up of smoked salmon, avocado, and rice. It's all inside an Anaheim Chili, battered and then deep fried. Topped with a sweet sauce. Not your traditional sushi roll at all. But extremely delicious!

There is no where else in Orange County where you can get a quality beer for that price! $12 for a pitcher of Sapporo all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on all other weekdays from 2pm till 5pm. Why? Because we love to drink when we eat sushi, especially good sushi! Enjoy our beer but also enjoy our $2.99 sushi, and $3.99 appetizers, which are also available during our absolutely awesome Happy Hour. Now, you have no excuse for not coming by for the best deal in all of Orange County!

Another week in the OC and it's beautiful out, as usual. After you take advantage of being outside, come on in Sushi World where we'll take care of you and make your week even more perfect. Like this ikura, which is obviously salmon roe with a quail egg on top. Eggs with another egg. Don't forget, we also have happy hour all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and from 2pm till 5pm on Wednesdays through Fridays. While other sushi restaurants take a break during this time, we remain open and like to reward those who do come in at that time.

We have everything to complete a meal, including awesome desserts! This dessert is simplest of all but sometimes, all you need is a little Green Tea Ice Cream to finish off your meal. It's not always garnished the same but when we usually have these items in stock, we will garish it with slices of strawberries, whipped cream, and a mint leaf. Yes, you can eat all the garnishes, too. Green Tea. It's good for you.

If you enjoy foie gras, then you should give our ankimo a try. It's made from monkfish liver and made in house. You should try it if you come by and visit us this weekend. This is the one item on our menu that the longer you leave it out, the better it tastes. But of course, don't leave it out too long. That would be ridiculous. Leaving it to about room temperature is probably optimal. It's very rich and packed with flavor.

We love our Sushi Chefs! They are our front line and they always do their best to represent us well. We believe it is their dedication to always serve you love on a plate that has gotten us to where we are today. And we are grateful. Always, always feel free to sit at the sushi bar whenever it is available and get to know our sushi chefs. They're a great bunch and if you have a rapport with them, they'll surely be able to customize your sushi love on a plate to your preferences. That's always a good thing.

You know our Poke Bowl is seriously good because we only use our very own fresh sushi-grade fish for our Poke. We take fresh chunks of Tuna and Albacore and mix it with our very own Hawaiian Poke sauce. Each bowl is accompanied by some seaweed, cucumbers, avocado, tamago (egg), and masago. Oh, and somewhere at the bottom of the bowl is our sushi-grade rice. It's a pretty complete meal and great for lunch or dinner or whenever. Great to get to-go and eat at the beach or park or during a boring meeting at work.

We love Spanish Tapas and we realize why. Essentially, sushi is much like the Japanese version of the Spanish Tapas: small, tasty bites eaten with an alcoholic beverage. Every time you take a seat at our sushi bar, it's much like getting Tapas. You pick whatever you wish, like the lineup in the picture of Tako (Octopus), Hotategai (Jumbo Scallops), Tai (Red Snapper), and Cherry Salmon. And then, of course, be sure to have some beer or sake to help wash it all down and clean your palette for the next tasty morsel. Yep, we've got Tapas.

Yikes it's hot! Come on in for some free a/c and our Happy Hour all day on Mondays and Tuesdays where you can enjoy our $2.99 sushi which includes the pictured Yellowtail. For $2.99, you get 2 pieces of sushi so that breaks it down to $1.50 per piece of sushi. Also during our Happy Hour is $3.99 appetizers with 8 to choose from, $4-$4.50 various rolls and other items, and $12 Sapporo pitchers. Orange County's best Happy Hour is also from Wednesdays through Fridays from 2pm till 5pm.

Want a little salad with your sushi instead of rice? Get our Sashimi Salad! It consists of a bed of mixed greens, cucumber, avocado, and gobo and is topped with generous various sashimi slices like Albacore, Tuna, Salmon, and Yellowtail. And we dress it all up (since it is a salad) with our very own house made Hawaiian Poke Dressing. On the very top, we have crispy fried onions and seaweed strips. Yes, there's a lot going on here but you deserve the ultimate salad and this might just be it.

The Speedo Roll has officially arrived at Sushi World! Like our Yamaha Roll, we named it after one of our many awesome corporate neighbors in Cypress. Employees from Speedo often frequent Sushi World so we thought it appropriate for us to show them some love with a roll of their own. It features a center of Spicy Tuna, Spicy Crab, and Avocado. It's topped with Escolar, Cilantro, Tomatoes, and Toasted Sesame Seeds. Lightly dressed with a sweet sauce to finish it off. Which neighbor wants the next roll named after them?

Did you know that you can come in and just get a lineup of sushi just like this? Take a seat at our sushi bar and interact with our sushi chefs The more they know about what you like, the more they'll be able to create a custom lineup with your preferences. Otherwise, you can just tell them how many pieces of sushi you'd like and they'll take care of the rest. It's another way we do "omakase." or Chef's Choice. Makes the decision process so much easier for everyone.

Continuing with our series of awesome bowls, especially for lunch, our Poke Bowl never disappoints! Great to have during lunch or dinner, our poke bowl will always hit the spot, especially if you don't have the time to sit down for a long spell at our sushi bar. It's got a little bit of everything in it: tuna, albacore, masago, tamago, and a bunch of other goodies that make this bowl absolutely perfect. And of course, it's dressed with our very own Hawaiian Poke dressing and it all sits on a bed of our sushi-grade rice.

Summer is here in the OC. If you're like most carb-conscious people in Orange County, you're looking to cut down on the carbs so that you can have that beach/pool party body. Our Jalapeno Yellowtail is precisely what you're looking for. It's essentially carb-free and is flavorful as heck. It's light, tasty, and the women love it. If she doesn't like it, then maybe your mom was right and she's not the one. Besides, once you lose those extra pounds, you'll surely find something better.

If you love salmon, you're going to really love Sushi World's Atlantic Dragon Roll. It's center consists of salmon and it's topped with a peppered salmon. Salmon overload? We think not. The center also has the traditional sushi center of avocado and cucumber and then the whole roll is also topped with shredded red onions and a slice of serrano pepper on each piece of sushi. And then, it's lightly dressed with a ponzu sauce. So simple, yet oh so deliciously filling and appetizing.

Currently on the Sushi World Specials Board: Truffle Escolar. Yes, it's a very unimaginative name but it does the job. Features sashimi slices of buttery Escolar dressed in Truffle Oil and garnished with orange slices. Looks fresh and inviting and tastes even better than it looks. We know it's summertime so y'all are looking for that summer bod. Well, this no carb dish should definitely be an option for you as it's packed with flavor and none of the guilt.

Chirashi is the best, quick lunch you can possibly have. You get so much fish and it's so filling. And, it's so delicious, too. You get tuna sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, albacore sashimi, red snapper sashimi, shrimp, tamago, and spicy tuna all in a bowl with some rice. It is a pretty complete meal. And you need to have a good lunch every once in a while. You can also get our awesome chirashi bowl to go. Just order it ahead of time and our expert sushi chefs will gladly put it all together for you.

It's the summer! Our Hawaiian Tuna Poke is a perfect, healthy serving of yumminess consisting of tuna, albacore, avocado, gobo, marinated seaweed, and an awesome poke dressing. Great to share or to eat all by your selfish self. No need to dip it anything. It is ready to go as is. It'a great starter, a middle appetizer, or even as a dessert. Your choice! Whatever you do decide, it's not a bad decision! Hope everyone has a wonderful, beautiful week ahead of them!

If you haven't tried our Salmon Carpaccio yet, you're missing out. Not only is it low carbs to help you keep your figure, it's delicious! Perfectly sliced salmon sashimi, topped with red onions, green onions, sesame seeds, and then dressed with a house combination of oils and sauces. It's become a favorite amongst our regulars. They tend to like dishes like this and our Jalapeno Yellowtail. They're simple dishes that are great to share or eat all up by yourself! Don't worry. We won't judge you.

What kind of sushi eater are you? If we give you a lineup of sushi with Uni in it, would you eat the Uni first or last? Do you enjoy leaving the richest piece of sushi for last or do you like to eat it first? Typically, we would save it for last since the Uni can be overpowering and thus, effect the flavor of the rest of the sushi in the lineup. But of course, it depends on your palette and tastebuds. If you take your time between each sushi piece and drink some sake and eat some ginger, you can eat sushi in whatever order you like.

You want some sushi with your chicken teriyaki? No problem! Our Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box has the option of coming with either a basic sushi roll, 4 sushi pieces, or even pieces of sashimi! It's your choice. Pictured is our bento box option with 4 pieces of sushi: tuna, salmon, albacore, and shrimp. Chicken Teriyaki Bento Boxes also come with 2 pieces of Shrimp Tempura, 3 pieces of Vegetable Tempura, Miso Soup & Bowl of Rice. Now that's a lunch that will fill you up and pretty much put you in a food coma for the rest of the day.

Of course we have Oyster Shooters! We take a freshly shucked oyster, throw it in a shot glass with ponzu, masago, sake, green onions, and a few other secret ingredients. What's not to love about it? The hard part is finishing it all with big gulp. You really have to brace yourself before taking the whole shot, which we highly encourage you to do so that you can fully appreciate all the different flavors meshing with one another. It's also best to take it at our sushi bar.

Currently on the Sushi World Specials Board: Live Uni! Yes, this is a rarity for us so if you love Uni like we do, you better come in soon to experience this for yourself. Our sushi chefs will prepare them any way you like, as sushi, sashimi, or you can even eat it straight out of the shell. If the response is great, we'll be sure to try our best to get live sea urchin more frequently. It's all a matter of you, our customers. You should always check the Specials Board at Sushi World, especially if you're looking for something new. If you enjoy Tempura Shrimp and Tempura Veggies, you should really try out our Snow Crab Tempura. It's pretty much exactly how it sounds. 10 pieces of Snow Crab leg meat battered and fried in tempura. If an item on our Specials Board is popular enough, we tend to add it to our regular menu. So it's up to you. Let us know when one of our Specials Board item really hits the spot for you.

Negi Hama is a sushi roll that consists of yellowtail and green onions. It's a basic sushi roll that will always be around. It's only $4.5 on our Happy Hour menu, which is all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on Wednesdays through Fridays from 2pm till 5pm. There are so many items on our Happy Hour menu, it's ridiculous. Small Salmon Skin Salad also for only $4.5. Salmon Skin Hand Roll for only $4.5. $2.99 sushi, $3.99 appetizers, and $12 Sapporo pitchers.

Due to popular demand, we have added Japanese Curry to our menu! Available with Chicken Katsu, Pork Katsu, or Potato Croquettes, our curry is thick, hearty, and perfect for lunch or dinner.
